Clublink Corporation and Geranium Corporation have partnered to redevelop the former golf course lands with 184 single detached homes on 50’ and 60’ lots. A mix of bungalow and two-storey homes are envisioned. A ten-storey residential condominium building is proposed for the former golf course clubhouse site, in close proximity to transit and shopping along Yonge Street.
Almost half of the 101-acre site is proposed to be conveyed to the municipality for an integrated public park and trail system together with protected natural heritage areas. The plan contains 7.3 kilometres of trails which traverse the site, providing trail linkages from Bathurst Street to Yonge Street, consistent with the Aurora Trails Master Plan (2011). The proposed “Town-Wide Spine Trail” which traverses 2.5 kilometres along the northern section of the plan, with a potential linkage through the Tannery Creek open space block, 85% of this trail is off-road.
